Rules of the Pool
Rule 1:
- There will be no money exchanged, wagered, won or lost. This is just for fun.
Rule 2:
- You have two choices for making your picks.
Option 1: Make all of your picks before the first kickoff of the week. This is the one pool management prefers!
Option 2: If you want to make a pick for an early game (such as Thursdays), go to the pick sheet and select Random, this will make random picks for you. Then change the early game to your preferred pick and submit your picks. Later, you can make your picks again. Any games that are complete will not be changed but your new Sunday picks will override the picks you made on on your first sheet.
- What if I pick late? Any pick for a game that has already started will not count. If you don't pick before the early games on Sunday but get your picks in before the late games, the late ones will still count. Please don't make a habit of picking this way, the King doesn't like it.
Rule 3:
- Winners for each week are decided by the total number of winning picks made. In the event of a tie, the Monday night tie-breaker is used. The player closest to choosing the total points scored on Monday night will win.
Rule 4:
- Winners for the season are decided by the percentage of winning picks made. In the event of a tie, The person with the most Total Wins will win the season. If there's still a tie, the best Monday Night tiebreak record is used.
- To be considered for post-season awards, players must participate in AT LEAST 14 regular season weeks. If you do not make a pick for a POST-SEASON game, that game will be listed as a loss.
Rule 5:
- Awards will be given for the best performance the first half of the season (after 8 weeks), best performance during regular season, best Super Bowl picks, best picks for the year, and possibly others.
Rule 6:
- Kingadapool has that name for a reason. Anything he says, goes.
Survivor Pool:
The premise of the pool is simple: pool members make one Survivor Pick each week. If that team wins, they move on to the next week. Once you pick a team, you cannot pick that team again for the rest of the year. The pool continues until only one member is left.... the Sole Survivor.
Rules:
- If you pick the same team twice, it is recorded as a loss.
- YOU MUST KEEP TRACK of your weekly picks. There is a link on your picksheet that shows you which teams you have already picked.
- If you miss a week, it is recorded as a loss.
- Once you've lost twice, you're out of the Survivor Pool.
Margin Pool:
The Margin Pool is similar to the Survivor Pool in some ways. With a Margin Pool you pick one team each week. Once you pick a team, you cannot pick that team again. If your team wins, the winning margin, or margin of victory is added to your season point total. If your team loses, then the winning margin is subtracted from your season point total. The pool member that has the most points at the end of the regular season is the winner. In the case of a tie, the player with the most total wins for the season will be the winner.
Rules:
- If you pick the same team twice, it is recorded as a missed week.
- YOU MUST KEEP TRACK of your weekly picks. There is a link on your picksheet that shows you which teams you have already picked.
- If you miss a week, you will be marked with a loss and lose the highest margin for the week.
